Jefferson City, MO – On Friday, March 1, Lt. Governor Kehoe will travel to Laredo, Texas, to visit the men and women of the 1251st Transportation Company and the 220th Engineer Company of the Missouri National Guard, who are currently assisting DHS with border security operations. Lt. Governor Kehoe will be joined by Major General Levon Cumpton of the Missouri National Guard.

“I was honored to meet the members of the Missouri National Guard’s 1251st Transportation Company last fall before their departure on this critical mission,” said Lt. Governor Kehoe. “I look forward to seeing the brave men and women of the Missouri National Guard in action on the ground in Texas.”

This visit follows Lt. Governor Kehoe’s participation in the October 2023 departure ceremony in Harrisonville for the 1251st Transportation Company’s federal mission to assist in operations to secure the Southern Border. The Missouri National Guard currently has 250 service members assisting at the Southern Border, with the first portion of an additional 200 MONG personnel deploying in mid-March 2024, after being activated by Governor Parson’s Executive Order 24-03.
