Jefferson City, Mo.Today the Buy Missouri program launches a highly-anticipated retail partnership. To qualify as a Buy Missouri retail partner, a business must sell a minimum of five Missouri-made products. A full list of partners and their storefront information will be featured on buymissouri.net.

“Retail partnership is a natural next step to the Buy Missouri program. It is created to showcase and promote small businesses that do not qualify to be a Buy Missouri member on the basis of being a Missouri manufacturer, but still advances the intent of the program by selling great Missouri-made products,” said Mike Kehoe, Missouri Lieutenant Governor. “This partnership will further encourage Missourians to shop local.”

The Buy Missouri program has expanded to 350 members, including an initial seven retail partners to launch the retail component of Buy Missouri:

Missouri Artists on Main – St. Charles, MO

Country Living – General Store – Washington, MO

The Copper Kettle – Ashland, MO

Maw Maw’s Cupboard, LLC – Warrenton, MO

The Outpost – Freeburg, MO

Dogwood Vintiques / Missouri Made – Jefferson City, MO

Plume – Columbia, MO

“With the holiday season approaching, supporting local businesses is more important than ever,” Kehoe concluded. “When we shop small, we are supporting our friends, families and communities – something the Buy Missouri retail partnership will be able to promote.”
