(JEFFERSON CITY) – In an ongoing effort to streamline government practices, the second hearing of the Boards and Commissions Task Force was held on Thursday, August 3 at the State Capitol. During the all-day hearing, six state departments testified before the task force regarding the purpose and effectiveness of their particular areas of responsibility.

“I truly appreciate the time, travel and effort the members of the Boards and Commissions Task Force have invested, coming from all corners of the state to guarantee that we can more efficiently meet the needs of all Missourians,” Lieutenant Governor Parson said. “At the end of the day, I was genuinely impressed by the amount of expertise the members of this task force brought to the table,” said Lieutenant Governor Parson.

The Boards and Commissions Task Force will convene later this month to review information presented during the hearings and draft the final report of their findings, including recommendations that will be made to Governor Eric Greitens by the October 31, 2017 deadline.
