Lt. Governor Kinder Headlines Groundbreaking at Fremont Senior Center in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD – Lt. Governor Kinder, Missouri's Official Senior Advocate, led Thursday's groundbreaking ceremony for a major addition to the Fremont Senior Center in Springfield.
The Fremont Center now consists of 22 villas and 33 apartments all dedicated to senior living. The new building will add 56 beds of licensed assisted living and 16 beds of Memory Care and is expected to open next summer. The Memory Care division is for seniors with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.
“The Fremont Senior Center is a great living community for seniors, and I’m proud to be here as they begin development on a new building that will be used to serve more seniors in Springfield and Southwest Missouri,” Kinder said Thursday. “As Chairman of Missouri’s State Plan Task Force for Alzheimer’s Disease, it is wonderful to see great facilities like Fremont that are dedicated to serving seniors impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.”
